I’m taking a short blogging holiday to spend some quality time with my family and our good friends. In true Aussie style we’ll celebrate Christmas at the beach!

I am happy to announce that as of today Blue Jacaranda can also be found on Makeably, the new marketplace for custom made items. So far I have templates for custom made burlap cards, bookmarks and heart-shaped ornaments, but I will be adding more in the next few weeks.

On Saturday I was at the BrisStyle market in Hamilton. It was a lot of fun – although not as busy as I had hoped.
My neighbour was Anna from AnnaCraft, who sells beautiful needlework items and is also from Holland. We got on very well together!
This was my last market for the year. It is also the last week of school before the summer holidays begin here in Australia. And only two weeks until our beach holiday starts… Bring it on!

The December prize is one of my favourite items; the St Basil’s Cathdral Art Card.

Moscow is very high on my list of places I would like to visit, and the first thing I would go and see is St Basil’s Cathedral. Such a gorgeous building! I made a pen drawing of the cathedral in 2011 and had it made into a thermofax screen. I used it to make a small ‘Russia’quilt as part of my journal quilt series earlier this year:
In my Etsy shop I sell art cards and stretched prints with this image. It is also available printed on fabric at Spoonflower.

At the Inspired Event last weekend I realised I really need a money belt. So I made one – from a coffee sack, of course! 😉
I sewed a velcro strip on the inside of the pocket to be able to close it (I don’t do zips). Here’s a pic of me wearing it:
