A busy weekend

It was a busy, but very enjoyable weekend! On Saturday night we went to the opening night of the Festive Collective Exhibition at Reverse Garbage. The whole family came – the boys think RG is paradise! We gave them each $2 to spend and they had a ball looking for treasure. Youngest son (6) shows his loot:

The exhibition was beautiful, the food excellent…

… and the music awesome. We had a great time!

Sunday morning was spent frantically doing the last preparations for Inspired, such as stamping paper bags…

… and pricing items:

Hubby and the boys dropped me at Florence Street in Teneriffe, which was marked very well:

It was a lovely afternoon, with lots of friendly people, yummy food and quite a few sales :-).

I was happy to put my feet up on Sunday night, but look forward to my next big event: the BrisStyle indie Designers Market on the 8th of December!

Take care,
Linda

Getting ready for Inspired

This Sunday, the 25th of November, Blue Jacaranda will be at Inspired, a Shopping and Fundraising Event created by Brisbane artist Kylie Farrelly. This week I have been busy making stock, such as this Chalk Cloth Bunting. The backside is made from laminated fabric, so it can be used indoors and outdoors.

This Oilcloth Bunting is also very suitable for garden parties:

Buntings look so good like this:

Yesterday I did a big screen printing session.

Today I made the prints into Art Cards, ACEO and stretched them in hoops:

Inspired is at 30 Florence Street, Teneriffe (Brisbane) from 3 until 6pm.

Take care,
Linda
